When my mtdna was analyzed by the
Genographic Project (linked below) a couple of years ago, it opened a
view to the new areas I didn't know existed; literal places barely heard
of before, Abkhazia,
Adygea and
Uyghur, for
instance, and areas of experience, past history and current folk
cultures, that have unexpected depths and dimensions. This
propelled me far and wide across the internet exploring. Some good
places of insight discovered along the way are listed below. The
